Throughout my life I have followed many different creative pursuits from fashion to dance. It was not until I moved to Florida in 2004 that I found my true passion. Then I became and still am a very happy painting "junkie".
Although most of my work is in oil, I do combine acrylic with oil. Almost everything I paint is derived from my own photos or those donated by friends and family. These photographs are the starting place for everything I paint. The paintings are strongly influenced by my reaction to the subject matter and more importantly my interpretations with color.
It is my belief that artists should always be expanding, honing and polishing their skills. Towards that end I take regular classes at Alizarin Crimson in Stuart, Fl and at the Armory in Palm Beach, Fl. I also find at least one master class or workshop a year to challenge myself in something new.
